2025 Council Elections Candidates

Ivor RacKham Green Party Candidate for Amble west and Warkworth, 2025, Northumberland county Council Local elections
I’ve run my own successful photography, training and technology support business for the last decade. I’m also a writer. Previously, I was the election agent for the local Green Party in a general election and I’ve championed environmental campaigns. I’m also a town councillor and hold various voluntary positions

Antonia Azocar-Nevin Green Party Candidate for HUMSHAUGH, 2025, Northumberland county Council Local elections
I am a qualified gardener and love spending my time outdoors. I want to be a councillor because I’m passionate about environmental issues and the wildlife crisis. Working at Belsay I developed my own utopia for beneficial pollinators: I researched native and non native plants to create a cottage garden feel, and used natural detergents like garlic spray and iron infused straw mulch. I used to work in youth and community work, with litter picks and gardening days for all. I’m also finishing a qualification in forest school as I believe the education of the outdoors for our youth of today will make a big difference for a better future!

Martin Swinbank Green Party Candidate for ALNWICK HOTSPUR, 2025 Northumberland County Council Local Elections
As a County Councillor over the last four years in the 2-seat ward of Alnwick, I’ve seen just how important it is to work collaboratively with Councillor colleagues and council officers to support the ward. Despite Alnwick now being split into two wards, I will continue to work across both physical and political boundaries to achieve the best outcomes for Alnwick and Edlingham. Good decisions are made and outcomes achieved when Councillors are free to challenge existing norms, power structures and political control. As a Green, I’m free to do just that and I look forward with positivity to address the many challenges we face

Jan Rosen Party Candidate for Morpeth North, 2025, Northumberland county Council Local elections
I am an instrumentation engineer, after previously working for technology and environmentally sustainable solutions. I studied Geography and Environmental Management and Leadership and Management at Northumbria University. I am married to Lisa, who I met at Cork airport while on a business trip to Ireland, and we live in the centre of Morpeth with our black labrador. I am involved with local community groups and charities and am currently Treasurer of the Northumberland Green Party
