I am a qualified gardener and love spending my time outdoors. When i was studying gardening at Belsay Hall I developed my understanding for the importance for spaces for nature. Now being a councillor, I believe I have been given such a positive opportunity to carry on my passion for environmental issues and the wildlife crisis. I am so thankful to have previously worked in youth and community work as it has greatly benefited towards my responsibilities of today. I have been working towards a qualification in forest school as I believe the education of the outdoors for our youth of today will make a big difference for a better future.

I’ve been a GPEW member since 2018 although I have always been extremely active in green issues for many years beforehand. I was on the steering group for Save Druridge and was the lead employee representative for recycling etc. at Gateshead Council.
